What is health coaching and how can it help me?

Health coaching supports individuals to take ownership of their health and make better choices to improve their overall well-being. You set the goals you want to achieve and your coach, as your personal cheerleader, supports you on your journey, holding you to account to keep you on track.

Health coaching differs from a personal trainer or dietician that prescribes a diet or exercise plan for you to follow. Health coaching is client led, you set the plan.

Clients often come to health coaches with a lot of knowledge already. We know what we need to eat, what we need to reduce and how much we need to move our bodies, yet staying disciplined and motivated is very difficult for many of us.

Health coaches can cheer you on, remind you of why you wanted to improve your health, help you reframe negative ideas you might have of yourself and support you to meet your goals. Health and well-being goals might be to lose weight, get back into exercise, reduce stress levels, sleep better and more.

Why are packages recommended over 1 or 2 sessions?

In order to make significant change and break poor habits, reasonable time is necessary as these things don’t happen overnight. The packages range from one month to three months, depending on what you feel you need.

We can use a discovery call to talk about options and you are welcome to book an individual session or two first to see if health coaching is for you.

Maintenance sessions (one offs or monthly sessions) are brilliant to keep you on track after you have completed a package but feel you need a refresher or some accountability down the road.
